Some words just fit(March 1-5)

Canopy of stars above,
Aromas of the woods around,
Moon singing lullaby
Projecting from the clouds,
In the lap of nature we lie
No longer worried of bugs,
Good thing we got repellant !

Prompted @ March Challenge (Day -1 : Camping)

With flowers in her tiny hands
the girl dressed in red ran, clutching
sheets of old paper along, the
pulled up socks sticking on top,
upon the head lay hat with crokked seam,
over her shoulders, the dress flew. in
your dreams might unravel her a(part)
head lost for heart , my life over death
I knew it was her, who had held the grip.

Prompted @ Poetry tow Truck

Lines used for the prompt are from Amy’s poem :

with the sheets pulled up over your head,
hands clutching the top seam in a death grip.

Spread the love, spread the word ..

  1. You are causing problems, Ladynimue. Now I’m going to have to find the time to try acrostic. It looks like so much fun, but like haiku, I’m sure it is much more difficult than I can imagine.

    1. haha .. when i rerad the first line, i got scared .. I started reading again and now i am laughing like anything 😀
Do try with small single words ! It goes upto phrases 😉
      Have fun !

  2. nimue, I am so flattered that you used my poem for your prompt. Truly, thank you. This was a big boost to a bipolar poet stuck in the GREYS today… and what you did with the lines was wonderful: “I knew is was her who held the grip.” Powerful stuff. Amy

  3. Love what you did with the prompt! It looks like fun with the form – but I am sure it takes more than practice ;-)!! i will stick with Haiku for now ~becca~
