the winds decide to drop
the words and wishes in your lap
solitude talks loud..
the words and wishes in your lap
solitude talks loud..

Lonely I am, not the memories
neither i share this with my dreams;
you will be back one day,
so screams even the hurting distances
(These lines are translation of the following lines i wrote in my native language Hindi, long back on margins of a novel i was reading.)
tanha mai hoon,yaadein nahi,
na hi khwaab akele rehte hain;
tum aaogi laut kar ek din,
mujhse ye faasle kehte hain…

I can feel the anguish and longing. Nice One Shot.
P.S. – How’s the grass smell? Or are you grazing? (LOL!)
Duh .. i was testing it for your welcome ๐ All for you !!!
short.. but sweet and profound…lovely…
very nice.. the return is imminent says the wind.. or so I’ve heard ๐ lovely poem.. like the Hindi one too.
Fasle kabhi kabhi jhoot bhi bolte hai.. dil behlane ke liye
door jaane wala kabhi kabhi wapas nahi aate.. chahe jitna intezaar kar lijiye
Lekin bhoole se kabhi.. aas paas rehne wale pe reham kar dijiye
woh bhi toh intezaar mein hain.. tumhare liye ๐
very sweet… ๐
I felt the pain…..

Being hopeful is best…thus loneliness is just a figment of one’s imagination! Well said dear! ๐
loved the hindi and english both. the hindi one was of course a little more beautiful- i love shayari- they belong to a different class.
