Brilliant!
I have found that people who confess to an inappropriate action are doing it to relieve themselves…not to explain to the hurt party.
Goes for people who decide to tell the truth to a supposed loved one that they have hurt…truth…like love…hurts

A different way to think about this topic…
and I really like it.
Very well written. Words well chosen.

Very raw emotions expressed in these few lines.
love that last line…and rusted blades of time…this is a well spun haiku…
Tighlty sliced… beautiful.
confessions will hurt in short time, relations may broke off but as time passby the guilt of wrong doing will never haunt u
I agree but why do such things for which we will have to confess later on .. why no live a life of truth in the first place then nothing ot confess and no danger of septic 🙂
It may hurt, in some cases may heal too!
..it will definitely hurt but the good thing is we’ll have the chance to live life freely without regrets and guilt inside.. great one!(:

Very nice. Those blades do look frightening when perceived so. Reminds me of Emily Dickinson’s:
She dealt her pretty words like Blades —
How glittering they shone —
And every One unbared a Nerve
Or wantoned with a Bone —
aww Nimue.. back here after a long time.. Loved your post..
Someone is Special
Ohh!this is so perfect and nicely written haiku…
one of the best ones I’ve read this week…
You certainly evoke the pain in this one. Nice haiku.
Loved the analogy.
I like it. Reminds me of a Emily Dickens poem about truth.
Amazing.. its something like truth always hurts n so does confessions … Very well expressed those feelings 🙂 I like it 🙂
Ouch! Wounds are often septic aren’t they? But doesn’t confession help to clean them?
Inappropriate confession leaves wounds that are certainly septic. I’ve read somewhere “except when to do so would injure them or others” and try to hold to that.
