She wanted not to cry,
but words forgot to flow,
she wanted to scream
but tears never stopped.
She wanted him to go
but never too far away
she wished it so bad
she held him so close.
She wanted to share
her unwritten songs
which echoed in spaces
she freed from her hopes.
she kissed his fingers
that marked her skin
and together they slept
weaving a new morning.
hmmmm Feel the same this side toooo …
but alas the morning never came this side
A perfect setting, weaved beautifully with your words. I refuse to be sad. 🙂
This made me think of a co-dependency kind of relationship because of the last stanza…another fine read…thanks.

so lovely sister…touching words! ~ Rose
You write so tenderly and clearly of those conflicts that come fleetingly in the tenderest moments. I think these lines say so much about how love is not simple:
She wanted him to go
but never too far away
she wished it so bad
she held him so close.
Pained and beautiful – thanks, mosk
Love the poem and the picture goes so well with your very tender, well penned thoughts of this love. Like it alot!
Beautiful write!
