I drink.
You I drink from the night;
Myself I relish,like the old wine;
I drink your shadows in the light;
My soul i refill and feed upon alike;
I drink.

ok ok ok I get the point .. nice one mam ji 🙂
i am all for drinking in this sense…a bit of myself…a bit of you…a little shadow a little light…all makes for a good night..s.miles.
This has the lovely unity that comes with love and caring for another.
Love the rhythm of this.
Using the concept of drinking as a metaphor for consuming life and love is terrificly great stuff.
Simple but beautiful.
Very well written…like it very much.

Nimue, this was a beautiful example of metaphor: Your use of drinking in both the literal and romantic senses… romantic, lots of longing. Loved it! Peace, Amy
