She looked away,
The arrogance lost on him;
The color on her cheek
Turning to paler shades
As she undressed
In front of the same mirror
That had witnessed her change
From the plain jane to a diva
Just few minutes back.
She wiped the smokey eyes clean
Before the makeup bled on its own,
Let the curls fall free on the
Bare shoulders still straight,
The redness of the lips intact
And so was the fire in her pointed nose.
Naked , she turned towards him
And challenged with all her height-
He smiled as his camera flashed
He laughed as she mellowed down
In the moonlight shining on her
And finally settled in the frame set for her.
Beautifully written! I really like this poem. You have put so much meaning within the lines of it. A wonderful piece!
Thanks Reene. I been thinking about female beauty and just had to get this out.
I am enjoying your writing and very much so of late. Look forward to your next post. Welcome always.
